Minecraft Dungeons II Bosses

Three bosses have been shown in official footage before launch. The Twisted Warden is a soul-corrupted Warden with a long-range sonic boom and a spin that throws players off the arena. The Copper Monstrosity spreads lightning and charges. The Monarch creates an Echo clone mid-fight, and killing the Monarch removes both.

The boss list below is what Mojang has actually shown, which is a smaller set than what the game ships with. Three fights appeared in official footage before launch, and the achievement list names several more encounters without footage. Attack descriptions come from the footage itself; no numbers are published, so there are none here.

Twisted Warden

The signature fight. A soul-corrupted Warden, dramatically larger than anything in the first game, guarding the Deep Dark portal in The Sift. The fight, as shown in the official hands-on preview:

Community lore, which Mojang frames as speculation, says the Warden was corrupted by the stray souls that wander The Sift. Mechanically, the counterplay demonstrated on stream was simple: keep moving, use jump attacks to create openings, and use group revives when the boom finds you. The Sift, where it lives.

Copper Monstrosity

A boss with a dedicated opening cutscene that the official preview compared favorably to animation work. Its shown behaviors: spreading lightning across the arena, charging players, and general pressure that punishes standing still. The preview's running joke, that it wants revenge for what players have done to copper golems, is commentary, not lore. The achievement list names a quest to defeat "a Copper Monstrosity" summoned by an Evoker.

Monarch and the Monarch's Echo

The boss Mojang demoed live on the Minecraft Live stream, and the one they called genuinely difficult. The gimmick is the Echo: halfway through the fight the Monarch creates a clone of itself. Killing the Monarch destroys both, but focusing the original while the Echo harasses you is the harder route, so the fight forces a choice between cleaning up the clone and gambling on the fast kill. The achievement list names "defeat a Monarch" as a hidden quest.

No official source says so. It guards the Deep Dark portal in The Sift, which makes it a story milestone, but the achievement list implies encounters beyond it.

What is the best way to prepare for these fights?

The mechanics shown reward mobility and sustain: jump attacks for burst, artifacts like the picnic blanket for healing, and teammates for fast revives. The combat systems. Specific boss counters will be added when the community documents them.
